Wivelsfield is an East Sussex Parish with a central village comprising of 360 houses. Eight years ago, it had a requirement to add 30 new houses but has since been swamped by 291 new houses putting a massive strain on village services and village life. Like many other Wealden villages, it faces devastation from yet more planning proposals coming forward as part of the Government’s intent to develop at any cost.
‘No To WivelsTown’ is a campaign group of residents in Wivelsfield, desperate to save the beautiful and historic Wealden village from being turned into a town by unwanted and unfettered speculative development, and angry at the removal of democratic rights to object to these proposals.
